Re: We are so sorry: your Lilo & Stitch on Sunday, May 24, 2026 has been cancelled
I rebooked for Saturday the 23rd at 1pm, but if a slot opens up on the 24th we would much rather do that because we already have plans at 5pm on the 23rd and it’s going to be tight. We are only in town the 23-25th so we can’t plan for a future date. Also when I rebooked it still charged me $10.57 for booking fees and taxes which I don’t think is fair considering I already paid the booking fees last time and the only reason I have to do it again is because of a cancellation on your end.. If there’s any way to squeeze us in on the 24th at 6pm we would greatly appreciate it. Also if there’s any way to reimburse me the $10.57 or credit us for something we can use day of the event that would be great.Thank you,Elizabeth Maltere202-253-9330Sent from my iPhoneOn May 19, 2026, at 12:45 PM, Fork n' Film <hello@mail.forknfilm.com> wrote:

Re: We are so sorry: your Lilo & Stitch on Sunday, May 24, 2026 has been cancelled
To Whom It May Concern,
My fiancé and I attended the Lilo & Stitch Fork n Film event at X-Golf on May 23, 2026, and unfortunately, the experience fell far below expectations—especially considering the price point of $230 per ticket.
I previously attended a Fork n Film event in New York (Mulan) and had such a positive experience that I specifically wanted to share it with my fiancé. Because of that prior experience, we came in with high expectations for what was marketed as a premium dining and entertainment event. Unfortunately, this experience missed the mark in several significant ways.
Upon being seated, the first issue we encountered was cleanliness. Our assigned chair had multiple long strands of hair embedded into the seat cushion. An employee did replace the chair after I flagged it down, but this was an unpleasant first impression in a food-service environment and not what we expected from a premium-priced experience.
We also noticed that the water glassware at our table appeared inadequately cleaned, with visible residue/water spotting. My fiancé ultimately wiped his glass himself because the film had already started and we did not want to further interrupt the experience.
Shortly after the movie began, the film was accidentally played in French for several minutes before being paused and corrected to English. While mistakes happen, this felt like something that should have been checked prior to the event beginning, particularly at this price point.
Additionally, one of the major selling points of a Fork n Film event is the synchronized dining experience. Unfortunately, the timing of the courses frequently felt disconnected from the film, arriving either noticeably early or late relative to what was happening onscreen. This significantly impacted the immersive aspect of the experience.
Beyond timing, the experience itself lacked many of the immersive elements we expected based on prior Fork n Film events and the premium ticket price. During my previous experience, there were themed props accompanying courses, visual effects, thoughtfully timed pairings, and specialty cocktails that made the event feel unique and memorable. For this event, aside from a small fishing pole decoration in the tuna sandwich, there were no meaningful themed props or special effects to elevate the experience. Additionally, guests received only one cocktail, which felt underwhelming considering the price point and expectations for a premium immersive dining event.
The food itself was also disappointing. The tuna sandwich was not enjoyable for either of us, and the rib dish was extremely fatty with minimal edible meat. The vegetables tasted underwhelming, and while I personally enjoyed the sweet potatoes, the overall menu felt heavily dessert-focused, with limited savory options. My fiancé’s favorite item ended up being the ice cream, though he was disappointed by the very small portion size.
To be candid, we left feeling that the overall quality of the event did not align with the premium pricing. Between the cleanliness concerns, technical issues, lack of immersion, disappointing food quality, and timing problems, the experience simply did not feel reflective of a $230 per person event. Afterward, we ended up stopping elsewhere for food because we were still hungry and dissatisfied with the meal.
Compounding our frustration, our original Sunday booking was cancelled by Fork n Film, requiring us to rebook for this date. While credits were issued for the ticket cost, I was charged an additional $10 booking fee despite the change resulting from a cancellation on your end. I reached out regarding reimbursement for that fee but never received a response.
I am disappointed writing this because I know Fork n Film is capable of creating memorable experiences based on my previous event. However, this particular experience was deeply underwhelming and left both of us regretting the cost.
Given the number of issues experienced, I would appreciate your review of this matter and consideration of an appropriate resolution.
Sincerely,
Elizabeth Maltere
