Disappointing Experience at “Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs” Event – May 9, 2027

First, it was never mentioned anywhere that this would be a silent headphone event. That should have been clearly communicated beforehand.

Second, when the movie began, the event advertisement/commercial continued playing through the headphones for about six minutes over the movie itself. No one bothered to rewind or restart the movie properly, causing us to miss the beginning.

Third, throughout the movie, servers repeatedly walked directly in front of the screen — at times two people at once — which was extremely distracting and took away from the experience.

The food was also very disappointing. The Caesar salad appeared to be served on a spoiled wedge salad, the burger was burnt, and the breakfast items were honestly terrible. The pancakes were burnt, and the eggs were poorly prepared. The only enjoyable part of the meal was the dessert.

Additionally, every dish was served on plain regular plates with absolutely no presentation or immersive element. There was zero effort to make the experience feel special or connected to the movie.

What made this even more upsetting was that we attended the Ratatouille event last year, and it was absolutely amazing from beginning to end. That experience truly made you feel like you were part of the movie itself, which is what led us to return with high expectations.

Instead, on an already emotionally difficult day for us, we pushed ourselves to go out and celebrate our son’s memory, only to leave feeling even more saddened and disappointed.
